Safety Tips
In our community, the safety and well-being of our members are the top priority that we take extremely seriously. We can not control if/whom you going to meet, where you’re going to meet, and/or the purpose behind your meeting. Our goal is to connect people on our platform, here are some general safety tips for reference in regard to account registration, online safety, and/or a meeting of any kind.
The following are some helpful tips that we consider necessary
1: Never share any personal information with another member
2: Never give money or financial information to another member
3: It is safer to meet virtually before meeting in person (face-time/zoom etc..)
4: It is best to get to know the person more before sharing any personal details such as your name, your location, your work/home address, places you frequently go, etc
5: Wait to share your social media as some may contain a lot of your personal information. It is one of the reasons why we decided not to have that feature on our app
6: When meeting another user, always meet in a public place. If they seem hesitant or unwilling, reevaluate meeting in person and/or end the dialogue entirely
7: When meeting another user, always make sure your phone is fully charged and functional, with your location settings on
8: When meeting another user, always be aware of your surroundings and limit your alcohol consumption
9: When meeting another user, always have cash on hand, money in ride-share, and credit cards handy if you need to get home for any unexpected reason
10: When meeting another user, share the details of your plan with a trusted friend or family member (location/time/name and phone number of your date, the meeting place, and any/every detail you can think of), and have that person check upon on you during your date, etc
11: When meeting another user, never meet in a location where you can’t get away safely and quickly or call for help
12: When meeting another user, never leave your food/drinks unattended, and keep an eye on your drinks at all times
13: When meeting another user, be observant and aware of your surroundings and the people around you
14: When meeting another user, we recommend you drive yourself or arrange your own transportation (a friend, Uber, Lyft, etc.)
15: Report all abusive and offensive behaviors as well as suspicious activities, for the safety of you and others
If another member has threatened, abused (verbally/physically/psychologically, etc), and/or has been violent toward you in any way, please contact your local law enforcement agency as well as report the member to us
